Gambino is a neighborhood Italian restaurant on Hull Street where seasonal ingredients from Virginia farms meet techniques passed down through three generations.
Our Philosophy
We don't chase trends. At Gambino, the menu changes with the harvest — tomatoes from Southwest Virginia growers in August, wild morels in spring, bruzzetta squash in late summer. Our pasta is made daily by hand, our sauces simmer for hours, and our wood-fired oven reaches temperatures that give every entrée its signature char.
The space is intentionally simple: natural materials, warm light, and room to breathe. We believe a great meal doesn't need spectacle — just honest ingredients, skilled hands, and the time to let them speak for themselves.

The Experience
We work with twelve local Virginia farms and source seafood from sustainable fisheries. The menu changes monthly so every visit feels new.
Our custom wood-fired oven reaches 900°F, giving every pizza, protein, and vegetable its distinctive smoky char and crackling crust.
Our sommelier has built a wine list focused on Italian varietals and Virginia vineyards, with cocktails that complement each course.
